15 Red Admiral on 2 Ivy garden bushes yesterday and 32 today. Usually only one or twos present. Largest number since 2006

2 Painted Lady, 29 Red Admiral, mostly on Ivy blossom. Late morning today.

From 4 Humming-bird Hawk-moth caterpillars that I found at two sites here on Merseyside in late July and early August, one was parasitised but the other three emerged successfully over the past week,(1 male 2 females) and were duly released where I found them.

Saw a Hummingbird Hawk-moth sunning itself on a wall in Colchester this afternoon.
