Two very worn Painted Lady investigating thistle plants by the river Parrett this morning.
Afternoon - a female Humming-bird Hawk-moth ovipositing on Lady's bedstraw planted below Red Valerian in a pot in the garden. 6 eggs altogether. |

Male Vagrant Emperor on the Beach at Minsmere. On 30th June at least eight Vagrant Emperor and a few Red-veined Darter were at Kessingland. Also 2 or 3 Scarce Blue-tailed Damselflies (first Suffolk records)
