A Tree Lichen Beauty in last nights catch - my first decent moth in my small terraced garden for years.
Cypress Carpet and a big increase of Large Yellow Underwings as well. |

Lesser Emperors today at Dungeness Long Pits, Kent; Blashford Lakes Ellingham Pound), Hampshire and Wintersett Reservoir, West Yorkshire. Red-veined Darter male at Southampton Common model boating lake. |

Dioryctria abietella in the garden trap last night here in Weston, the only notable migrant since the wind swing so far.

A Bordered Straw, 2 SilverYs, Diamondback plus many Yponomeuta rorrella and evonymella from further afield in back garden trap.

Male Aeshna affinis showing extremely well in same ditch as seen last year. Watched for 45 minutes early pm; frequently hovering + perched low down on dead bush along ditch showing all features well- plain greenish side to thorax, blue, eyes, conspicuous paired blue spots + blue "T" on S2. Photographed by some of my group from London Natural History Society.
