Night of 28th 115 Diamond back, 3 Udea ferrugalis, and a Vestal. Also a Painted Ladies in each trap. A notable increase in LYU with 227. On night of 23rd June there were 565 LYU my fourth biggest number in one night in 20 years. On the 24th June there were 287. These were mainly migrants with previous nights and subsequent nights totalling no more than 20 or 30. 2006 was the last significant spring migration of LYU in my garden.

There were some interesting reports of migrant dragonflies in northwest England on 27 June: Four Vagrant Emperor were spotted at Freshfield, Merseyside, and an obvious movement of Red-Veined Darter (& Painted Lady) was noted at Heysham Harbour, Lancashire.
