21 July: 1 Emperor dragonfly in the dunes at the west end of the RSPB reserve. An estimated 90,000 Silver Y's on Sea Lavender there (12 per m2). Large numbers reported arriving in East Anglia overnight.
Also a Black-tailed Skimmer reported crossing Blakeney harbour. |

21 July: 15 Small Red-eyed Damselflies resting in hawthorns on the edge of the dunes. Also small numbers of Common Darter, Migrant Hawker, Blue-tailed and Common Damselflies in the dune system.

Migrant Dragonfly Alert
Large numbers of Lesser Emperor and Southern Migrant Hawker are currently being reported from the near Continent; we should hopefully get our share. On 20 July at least 2 Southern Migrant Hawker were reported from a site in south Essex. |

male Lesser Emperor Dragonfly at Shortheath Common, Hants, showed well, briefly in the southeast corner of the small fishing pool adjacent to car park on the west side of common at 15:35. Flew into willows there and no further sign by 15:55 when observer had to leave site.

A few migrants in Dorset on the night of 19th July. An Orache Moth at Langton Matravers, and a Splendid Brocade at Durlston, along with a wandering Devonshire Wainscot.
