Dutch recorders again report an unusual abundance of Rannoch Looper in The Netherlands, including more than 5,000 caught at one site last week (J. Voogd, pers. comm.), suggesting that the appearance of the species in south-east england is a repeat of last year's event, caused by an abundance of the species on the Continent and favourable condtions to move them over here. A full account of last year's influx is shortly to be published in Atropos.
