Elsewhere on the Bawdsey Peninsula a Cypress Pug taken in Hollesley last night (N. Mason).

At least two Willow Emerald Damselflies still present today at Staverton Lake in the north east corner. If visiting, park at Daisy's Walk car park TM 354 502 and walk down track to view at TM 359 515. KEEP TO PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY.

Weekend of 1-2 August: Willow Emerald Damselfly Lestes viridis reported from two sites in East Suffolk - Trimley Marshes and Staverton.

First Clouded Yellow in the garden since 2006. Sadly , the weather isn't the same as then! Also Comma ab dilutus.

Good numbers of common butterfly including a single Clouded Yellow
