(1380) The Pyrale Etiella zinckenella taken at MV light in my Leicester garden last night (13th July). Unless there are any other earlier records for this year, this appears to be only the 7th British record of this immigrant/adventive species.

There is no obvious source of importation nearby, and my garden is on the eastern edge of Leicester with open fields beyond the garden.

I would like to report an Olive Crescent, Trisateles emortualis to 125 W MV lamp in my garden trap at Lovedean. I believe it is only the 4th Hampshire record.
Photo to follow.
It is the 200th macro species in my garden this year.

Night of 11/7/09 : Silver Y (1), European Corn-borer (2) & White-point (1).

What a difference a week makes ! - last week we trapped dozens of Diamond-back Moths and over 100 Bird-cherry Ermines but this week there were none of either species in the trap.
