Night of 25th June. Olive crescent at garden mv, and half a dozen bordered straw in the last week

we never get migrants in the midlands! But, another Rannoch Looper was trapped in Wyre Forest, Shropshire last night, 27/6/09 by Jon Clifton. First county record for Shropshire. So if you live north or west of Shropshire stick your trap out tonight and you might be next to catch one! This one was larger than the Warks version that I also saw.

Night of 26/6/09 : Diamond-back (5).

Hawk-moths continue to be trapped in good number, last night = Elephant Hawk-moth (15), Privet Hawk-moth (3) & singles of Eyed & Poplar.

Rannoch Looper, Eye, Suffolk (VC25), night of 26 June.

Rannoch Looper trapped at Waverley Wood, Warwickshire on Thursday night 25/6/09 as well - recorded by Alan Prior and Val Weston - so sounds like it's the equal first record for Warwickshire!?

Rannoch Looper caught last night at Temple Grafton,near Alcester,Warks by Andrew Gardner .(New County record).
