Red Sword-grass in my 60w Actinic trap on night of 30th March - in Findon Valley, Worthing

Red Sword-grass to a 40w actinic on evening of 30th March is only 4th recent county record and probably a distant dispersal. Otherwise 5 Blossom Underwing, Streamer and Lunar Marbled Brown in 4 traps.

Anne McCue saw a Red Admiral and male Large White at Piper's Wait(SU547164),New Forest,Hampshire on 18th March and 2 Red Admirals at Carters Copse,Gosport,Hampshire(SU585001) on 19 th.Also at Carters Copse on 19th David Tinling & Anne McCue saw a courting couple of Small Tortoiseshells.

Red Admiral seen by Anne McCue on 6th & 7th March along the path just west of Ann's Hill Cemetery,Gosport,Hampshire(SU594001).It is probably the one seen at the cemetery in Dec and Jan.
