Night of 6th Nov one scarce bordered straw and 7th nov 2 white speck

The first eight nights of November have produced the following....
U.ferrugalis (226),Vestal (1),Gem (1),Dark Sword-grass (3),Delicate (3),White-speck (373) and Silver Y (1)

Night of 6 November:

Red-headed Chestnut (1) - to 60w actinic light. The fourth site (and County) record.

Only other migrants were N. noctuella (1), U. ferrugalis (2) and Silver Y (3).

unusual catch of 15 moths on night of November 4th included one late Svenssons Copper Underwing and one Oak Beauty

Night of 5 November:

U. ferrugalis (3), Dark Sword-grass (1) and Silver Y (4).

Also Acleris logiana (1) - first site record since 2004.

5th November

Clancy's Rustic 1, Rusty dot Pearl 7, Large Wainscot 2 and Silver Y 1.

Night of 4 November:

N. noctuella (1), U. ferrugalis (1) and Dark Sword-grass (7) - the latter the highest nightly count this year. Also Angle Shades (16) and Setaceous Hebrew Character (2) - quite possibly migrant specimens too.

Late news from yesterday: Night of 3 November, Gem (1) caught in Hollesley by N. Mason.
