1 x Energetic RED ADMIRAL flying outside my High Street business in St Austell Town Centre at 12.45pm today. Seemed to be looking for some crevice or gap to possible hibernate in!!..It was not looking for nectar sources at all!!

Night of 20 October: 1 Clancy's Rustic, 2 Pearly Underwing (a rarity this year!), 1 Delicate, 2 Silver Y.

The mocha is the first decent moth this month since a couple of Clancy's Rustic at the end of Sept.Visitors have caught Dewick's Plusia (8th) & Slender Burnished Brass (12th) at other sites on St.Mary's during Oct. |

Night of 18th: no migrant moths, but a single Leptoglossus occidentalis (Western Conifer Seed Bug).

Once again Clancy's Rustic, but a different specimen as this one was smaller and worn. This was joined by a small Dewick's Plusia. Also 11 Rusty Dot Pearl, Silver Y and Pearly Underwing. |
