A moth caught on the night of 6 or 7 October by Duncan Walbridge is thought to be Galgula partita and is new to Britain. A full account will be published in Atropos.

Not a migrant I know, but an interesting record all the same. A full grown Elephant Hawk-moth caterpillar, active on a pavement presumably looking for somewhere to pupate in a garden not far from the city centre. Moved somewhere safe to carry on with whatever it was upto. An unusually late date!
