Scarce Silver Y to 125W MV, night of 23 August.
Also D. abietella(x3), N. noctuella (x2), Silver Y (x2), White-point, probably resident(x10) and P. xylostella (x5).

I found a convolvulus hawk moth on my patio this morning. I haven't seen one of these for 40 years! It allowed me enough time to get near to it to identify it before flying off. Sorry, not enough time to photograph.

Sightings of hawk moths in UK appear to be getting more common (relatively), is this because we are getting warmer?
