Night of 10th October - Clancy's rustic to garden trap, although rather worn specimen. Also had fresh Plumed fan-foot on night of 12th October, either a migrant or second brood as now possibly resident locally.

Night of 12 October: 1 Herpetogramma licarsisalis, 22 Palpita vitrealis, 1 Gem, 2 Vestal, 1 Cosmopolitan, 19 White-speck, 5 Small Mottled Willow, 10 Delicate and 2 Scarce Bordered Straw trapped at Peacehaven.

On 11/10/18, Robin Hemming, Les Finch and I ran 8 traps and checked some of the ivy with moth migrant counts:
Rusty-dot Pearl x 7 Rush Veneer x 1 Palpita vitrealis x 1 Gem x 1 Vestal x 3 Dark Swordgrass x 5(4 on ivy) Turnip x 2 (1 on ivy) Delicate x 3(2 on ivy) White-speck x 24(18 on ivy) Angleshades x 7 Small Mottled Willow x 3 numbers were not surprisingly much lower than the previous night, with overnight rain and winds gusting up to 75mph!! |
