Night of 29th July - male Gypsy moth to my garden trap, along with 3 Silver Y and about 10 Diamond backs. Also had a Plumed fan-foot on night of 27th July, although may now be breeding locally.

Convolvulus Hawk-moth found resting on washing hanging on a washing line in Axminster on 29 July.

Night of 29 July: male Gypsy Moth light-trapped - still a rare migrant in Suffolk.

Night of 28th July 2018: Dark sword-grass, Udea ferrugalis and a number of Silver Y and Plutella xylostella amongst a catch of c.170 species.

Night of 28 July: Dewick's Plusia and 3 Dark Sword-grass to light.

Night of 27 July: Likely immigrant Oak Processionary trapped at Corton, near Lowestoft.

Night of 26th July 2018: Dotted footman, Acrobasis tumidana and a few Silver Y and Plutella xylostella.

Cydia amplana has been recorded at this site regularly in small numbers most nights this week but is now considered resident here as seen every year at times when little migration taking place.
