Night of 23/10. Cosmopolitan (2), Vestal, White-speck (3), RDP (8), Rush Veneer (5), DSG (2), Silver Y. Migrants (or potential migrants) made up almost entire catch to 4 traps in wind and fog.

Last night 23rd October singles of Vestal, Pearly Underwing and Silver Y to garden MV. Previous night Vestal and Hoary Footman the latter might be a migrant?

Anticastra catalaunalis - only previous one was in 2006. Also couple of Vestal's (this autumns total greater than grand total ever but not quite in double figures yet so not spectacular). Another Cypress Carpet this morning (3rd ever). Several late appearing common species confused by mild conditions ?
