Migrant moth numbers still low last night - 11/10/17 - hoping the weekend's southerlies will bring something interesting? It will either be really good or too windy to trap any moths!! 8 traps plus ivy (ivy is now possibly past its best?) - our totals were;
Rusty-dot Pearl 32 (37) Rush Veneer 2 (2) Gem 1m (1m) Turnip 2 (4) Delicate 1 (0) White-speck 33 (34) Scarce Bordered Straw 1 (0) Silver Y 1 (0) Pearly Underwing 1 (0) Maybe a slight increase in migrant interest? Figures in brackets are previous night totals. |

|
Migrant moth totals - last night 10/10, (totals for 8 traps & ivy - Robin Hemming, Les Finch & me):
Rusty-dot Pearl 37 (90) Rush Veneer 2 (5) Silver Y 2 (4) White-speck 34 (39) Turnip 4 (7) Gem 1 (1) This was our worst night for migrants in 3 weeks since coming here, but fingers crossed for improvement at the weekend when southerlies from a long way south and warm air are forecast! Figures in brackets are previous night totals. |
