Moth trapping at the Alderney Bird Obs over the last week we had migrants on all nights including many Diamond-back, Rush Veneer and Rusty-dot Pearl. In addition to trapping we checked out the prolific ivy flowers and honey dew, and Dark Swordgrass and Silver-Y were regular and Delicate averaged around 5 a night, including very well marked individuals. We are not sure if a female Four-spotted Footman on the 21st and a Spanish Carpet on the 16th were migrants or local breeders.
