Night of 9 July: Bedstraw Hawk-moth at Southwell and Splendid Brocade at the Bird Observatory.

Palpita vitrealis early in the season for us. Other common migrants only in very low numbers.
Spurge's - singles on 13 dates plus three on one date June 10th to 30th. All in same trap. None since. Quite probably only 5 or 6 different individuals but as they got worn difficult to tell how many involved. |

Night of 8th June: Small Marbled at Hythe. Also 2 Catoptria verellus at Saltwood (sixth woodland site that this species has been trapped at this year, so presuming locally resident)

No sightings of Scarlet Darter since 12.30. Has reportedly been present for several days. Three Lesser Emperor present today
