Night of 1st July: Silver Y, Dark sword-grass And Plutella xylostella. There have been regular sightings of low numbers of these 3 species here so far this summer. Moth catches for most of June have been very good here.

2 Hummingbird hawkmoth seen nectaring at Viper's bugloss along forest ride. Also 15+ Silver Y disturbed from sward whilst surveying for day flying moths.

Night of 1 July: 3 Diamond-back Moth, 1 Rusty-dot Pearl, 1 Palpita vitrealis, 1 Sitochroa palealis, 1 European Corn-borer, 1 Rosy Footman, 3 Silver Y, 3 Dark Sword-grass, 1 Scarce Bordered Straw, 3 Small Mottled Willow, 3 Dark Spectacle, 1 Orache Moth, 1 Small Marbled and 1 Cream-bordered Green Pea.
