A Small Mottled Willow was in the actiinic trap this morning

I caught this Aethes sp on Tuesday night (23/5) and could not reconcile it with any UK species. It has been gen-detted by Phil Sterling and is Aethes deaurana from S Europe, a first UK record as far as we are aware.

2 Painted Lady. First actively flying before settling 06.55 + second nectaring on White Clover some distance away 35 minutes later.
