22 May: 3 Red Admiral, 2 Painted Lady, 1 Humming-bird Hawk-moth. Several Rush Veneer and Diamond-back Moth disturbed from arable fields.

No migrant moths at all overnight but male Red-veined Darter here today and noticeable arrival of Painted Lady around Old Lizard Head since yesterday.

Hummingbird Hawk Moth recorded at 18.00 on the 18.05.17 and then again tonight the 19th (in heavy rain shower) at 17.50 on my South facing Valerians .
Also Red Admiral recorded at 08.10 on same flowers on the morning of the 18th . |
