At last some abatement of the strong easterly wind that has been curtailing moth recording on the Lizard. The night of 7 October produced the following: 1 Convolvulus Hawk-moth, 2 Scarce Bordered Straw, 37 Rush Veneer, 13 Rusty-dot Pearl, 12 Diamond-back Moths, 1 Crocidosema plebejana

Dark sword-grass, 2 rush veneers, one diamond-back moth and several silver y`s. Also a l-album wainscot, but latter is locally resident.

Whitish moth disturbed as I walked past a privet hedge + then landed on a window of a parked car revealing itself as Palpita vitrealis.

This afternoon 33 Red Admiral on Ivy, 1 Rush Veneer also seen.
