On 30/9 we ran 14 traps between 5 of us, but numbers of migrants were very low. It might have had something to do with winds gusting to force 7 and torrential showers! Migrant totals were;

Convolvulus x 4 (with 3 of these at ginger lillies)

Night of 29th Sept - 2nd Radford's Flame Shoulder, Vestal, 3 Dark Swordgrass, 96 Rush Veneer, 12 Rusty-dot Pearl. Plus Clifden Nonpareil - probably a local breeder.

1 L-album Wainscot and 1 Plutella xylostella to light last night, where are the Silver Y etc migrants very sparse here.

Migrant moth totals on 29/9 with 13 traps between us (and checking ivy/blackberries) were;

Convolvulus Hawk x 3 in the traps (but a total of 7 seen on the island including nectarring on ginger lillies)

Delicate x 1
White-speck x 54 (24 of these on ivy!)

(We've also heard a report of a Death's Head trapped on St Marys, Isles of Scilly on 28/9)

Night of 29 September: 9 Diamond-back Moth, 1 Olive-tree Pearl Palpita vitrealis, 1 Box Tree Moth Cydalima perspectalis, 1 Convolvulus Hawk-moth, 1 male Gem, 6 Silver Y, 1 Scarce Bordered Straw, 1 Delicate, 1 Pearly Underwing and 4 Dark Sword-grass.

From Leon Abbott, Cudden today 7-8 Clouded Yellow. Has looked Porthgwarra and several other known likely places since 22nd and not seen any others!.
