Night of 26 September: 10 Diamond-back Moth, 85 Rush Veneer, 1 Latticed Heath, 2 Convolvulus Hawk-moth, 2 Silver Y and 9 Scarce Bordered Straw.

Migrant moths last night on 26/9. With 9 traps we caught;
Convolvulus Hawk-moth x 4
Hummingbird Hawk-moth x 2 (in traps)
Red Admiral x 1 (in trap)
White-speck x 38

Pearly Underwing x 1
Vestal x 1
Rusty-dot Pearl x 9

(Also Dog's Tooth x 1 was the second record for St Agnes)
(Other news from Scilly isles - St Agnes Post Office showed us photo of Western Conifer Seed Bug taken yesterday in shop porch! and on St Marys last night Scarce Bordered Straw and at least 3 Convolvulus were trapped. )

Belated news of a Dewick,s Plusia trapped on 18 September 2016 in Grantham. This is a first for Lincolnshire.

Night of 25 September: 30 Diamond-back Moth, 3 Rusty-dot Pearl, 2 Palpita vitrealis, 267 Rush Veneer, 1 Latticed Heath, 6 Convolvulus Hawk-moth, 8 Silver Y, 10 Scarce Bordered Straw, 1 Pearly Underwing and 1 Dark Sword-grass.

Night of 24 September: 5 Convolvulus Hawk-moths

Here is a photo of the Cydia interscindana. Feeling a bit puzzled as this is the second seriously weird moth in this modest suburban London garden this year. Maybe one of the neighbours has had a garden makeover:-)
