Night of 9 September: 23 Diamond-back Moth, 21 Rusty-dot Pearl, 1 Box Tree Moth (new to Suffolk), 9 Rush Veneer, 1 Convolvulus Hawk-moth, 1 female Gem, 36 Silver Y, 1 Scarce Bordered Straw, 1 Delicate (first for year) and 1 Dark Sword-grass.
Also singles of Red Admiral, Common Darter and Great Silver Water Beetle in the traps. |

Yesterday I counted 8 Red Admirals on the morning walk; the same route this morning produced 26, though an over night MV produced only a single Silver Y as a possible migrant.
Red Admirals were widely present yesterday, with 10 watched feeding at honeydew on a single osier bush. |
