8 Red Admirals on the morning walk was a significant increase on the usual none or one. Either migrants or a sign of successful local breeding.

Night of 5th August: Vestal (male), Nephopterix angustella, 2 Udea ferrugalis, 3 Plutella xylostella, 3 Silver Y, Nomophila noctuella.

Night of 6th August: Cydia amplana, 3 Nomophila noctuella, 2 Udea ferrugalis.

7th August (daytime): Vestal (male) flushed from long grass, plus a few Silver Y.

One Painted Lady and 53 Silver Y on the Buckland Wood transect this afternoon.

1 Clouded Yellow seen in flight today Wednesday 7th September 2016 at Vicarage Farm, Enfield and one male seen in flight and settled yesterday Tuesday 6th September 2016.
