Correction; the Bordered Straw reported earlier today for Mepal 31st July is, on closer inspection, Scarce Bordered Straw, ab ochracea.

One Bordered Straw to overnight MV, and an additional Painted Lady yesterday evening.

31st July.
Painted Lady (1), Silver Y (4) and Sitochroa palealis, the latter probably an immigrant.

One painted lady in Fowey. Two painted lady on the coast a mile to the south along with two silver y.

2 male Southern migrant hawker, new for site.

29/7/16: Cydia amplana and Clouded Magpie in the traps.

Night of 30th July: Silver Y (2), Rusty-dot Pearl (4), Diamond-back Moth (2), Small Mottled Willow (1) & Rush Veneer (2).

23 Diamond-back Moths trapped overnight, with one Silver Y. One Painted Lady on garden buddleais, the first for several week; another Silver Y seen at Chippenham Fen. Red Admirals frequent in the surrounding countryside.
