Keith Wheeler had a Cornifrons ulceratalis in his garden in Fareham VC11 on the night of the 18th Dec.
Also at the same time an example of what is probably Mecidea lindbergi bug (to be confirmed) |

|
The interesting Bug I trapped in the week has now been identified as almost certainly Mecidea lindbergi by Tristan Bantock. There have been 3 subsequent records, including another one from me. It is an African species and ties up with the current moth immigration. It would appear to be the first UK record.
