11 traps were run on St Agnes, Isles of Scilly last night - 6/10, but there was a howling NW gale for most of the night and heavy rain showers.So moth numbers were low and migrant numbers were even lower, with one trap completely empty!
Migrant moths were;

Rusty-dot pearl x 1
An anticlimax after the previous night!

Male Vagrant Emperor dragonfly (Anax ephippiger) found by Niall Keogh on board a boat ca. 45 miles off the south coast of Ireland on 6 October.

Death's-head Hawk-moth October 5,removed from cobweb by Gamekeepers partner at window of their cottage, cleaned and released.

8 Rush Veneer, 1 Rusty-dot Pearl, 1 Pearly Underwing, 13 Turnip Moth, 1 Small Mottled Willow, 1 Delicate, 2 Scarce Bordered Straw, 3 Dark Spectacle and 16 Silver Y.

Old World Webworm trapped at St. Germans

14 traps run plus productive ivy by people here on St Agnes, Isles of Scilly last night - 5/10. It was a very balmy night - maybe 16c min with much gentler winds from the south. Minimum figures for migrants were as follows;
Diamond-back Moth x 1; Tunbridge Wells Gem x 1 (K. Button); White-speck x 6; Small Mottled Willow x 1; Cosmopolitan x 1; Vestal x 3; Pearly Underwing x 3; Delicate x 2; Convolvulus Hawk-moth x 3; Rush veneer x 47; Rusty-dot Pearl x 7; Scarce Bordered Straw x 3; Silver Y x 4; Palpita vitrealis x 2; Old World Webworm x 1; Hummingbird Hawk-moth x 1 (in trap).

Night of 5 Oct;
1 Scarce Bordered Straw, 1 noctuella

Night of 5 October:

10 Diamond-back Moth, 7 Rush Veneer, 3 Dark Sword-grass, 1 Pearly Underwing, 2 Scarce Bordered Straw and 13 Silver Y.
