Evening of 18 August: Convolvulus Hawk-moth nectaring at Honeysuckle near Camborne.

Night of 17 August: 1 Humming-bird Hawk caught at light, Church Cove, Lizard

Night of 16 August: 1 Ni moth, Lizard village

Night of 17th August: Singles of Rush Veneer, Diamond-back Moth and Silver Y.

Night of 17 August: Vine Moth amongst good catch of the regular immigrants around this summer.

Single Willow Emerald at Sweet Briar Marshes SSSI today. On the storm-drain, 50m west of Mile Cross Marsh.

Night of 16 August: First trapping here since Friday night as I was surveying elsewhere. A chilly night but surprisingly good with 9 Diamond-back Moth, 24 Rush Veneer, 4 Rusty-dot Pearl, 5 Dark Sword-grass, 1 Scarce Bordered Straw, 5 Bordered Straw, 12 Small Mottled Willow and 28 Silver Y.

I strongly suspect that Small Mottled Willow and Bordered Straw have bred here this year.

Also two Red Underwings and two late Poplar Hawk-moths.
