The following night at Hickling in similar weather conditions, but warmer and nearer the coast with 8 traps, I only managed 1 Rush Veneer!

another3 Small Mottled Willows last night making 10 for the week,must
be breeding locally.Most have been in good codition and do not look as they
have flown a long way.

Last night 9th Aug had White Speck on Ragwort and Rush Veneer at tungsten light.

Night of 9 August: 2 Diamond-back Moth, 30 Rush Veneer, 2 Rusty-dot Pearl, 3 European Corn-borer, 1 Latticed Heath, 1 female Gem, 18 Small Mottled Willow, 1 Scarce Bordered Straw, 2 Bordered Straw, c1,000 Large Yellow Underwing and 36 Silver Y.

3 Clouded Yellow, 2 Painted Lady (fresh) + Bordered Straw in weedy area on huge open brownfield site being slowly turned into golf course.

Long-tailed Blue in Ipswich at Landseer Park today.

More Willow Emeralds in Norwich. This time two by the Wensum at the City Recycling Centre, Mile Cross. From the tow-path, where the side drain enters the river itself. First records from the Hellesdon Pastures CWS-Sweet Briar Marshes SSSI area (my local patch) and the 21st dragonfly species for the site.

The ones at Dolphin Bridge were yesterday (8th)
