Hummingbird Hawkmoth in garden for five minutes late morning.

Migrants in Birmingham back yard last night for Garden Moth Scheme night were; 1 Rush veneer and 6 Bird-cherry Ermines plus good to see Small Ranunculus again in my garden for the first time in 2015.

Night of 6 August:

1 Crocidosema plebejana, 5 Diamond-back Moth, 32 Rush Veneer, 2 Rusty-dot Pearl, 1 European Corn-borer, 1 Latticed Heath, 2 Dark Sword-grass, 24 Small Mottled Willow, 2 Bordered Straw & 26 Silver Y.

Migrants on my last night at Prawle Point - 5/8 - a very wet night with warm southerlies,were probably a slight improvement. Palpita vitrealis x 1, Hummingbird Hawk x 1 (in trap looked freshly arrived), Rusty-dot Pearl x 2, Rush Veneer x 1, Silver Y x 10
