Trapped at Prawle Point last night, first time this year due to being too busy and car trouble! - nothing stunning in the way of migrants, winds have got too much west in them! but here's the list: Diamond-back 2, Rusty-dot Pearl 3, Rush veneer 11, Silver Y 4. Doesn't quite compare with Suffolk!!!!

Night of 3 August: Overnight rain brought an excellent selection of immigrant moths.
Highlights included Small Dotted Footman (first Suffolk record), Speckled Footman (of ssp. arenaria - (first in Suffolk for 50 years since one at Thorpeness on 05.08.65) and a Small Marbled. The best of the rest included 13 Diamond-back Moth, 10 Rush Veneer, 2 Rusty-dot Pearl, 1 Sulphur Pearl Sitochroa palealis, 1 European Corn-borer, 2 Latticed Heath, 6 Dark Sword-grass, 12 Small Mottled Willow, 2 Scarce Bordered Straw, 1 Mere Wainscot & 44 Silver Y. |
