At least one Southern Migrant Hawker still showing well on pond behind the Marina Office this morning.

A single helice Clouded Yellow on Park Downs, Banstead, Surrey during the early afternoon of August 2nd.

Hummingbird Hawkmoth hovering around a privet hedge at mid-day- surprising as no flowers on it. Third sighting this year down my road.

Hummingbird hawk-moth in garden at 2.00pm this afternoon (1/8), but no migrants in the poor moth trap catch last night.

Not a migrant but a rare sighting of Silver-washed Fritillary on my buddleias afternoon of 31st July 2015. One was also seen and photographed in Sutton Park by a colleague. A very rare and almost unknown insect here in the West Midlands.
Also 2 x Red Admiral, a Silver Y and another uncommon butterfly here - White-letter Hairstreak!

Hummingbird Hawk-moth resting in poly-tunnel for a few hours today. Painted Lady 2, Red Admiral 5, still regular in the garden.

Night of the 29th, An Orache Moth to actinic/synergetic combo. A Four-spotted Footman was also in the catch.

Light-coloured Bordered Straw disturbed from a hedge + settled on the ground.

This afternoon (30/7) clouded yellow x1, red admiral x2 and the migrant hoverfly Scaeva pyrastri.
