Large Tortoiseshell in a Saltwood garden today

Night of 27 June: 1 Diamond-back Moth, 5 European Corn-borer, 1 Pearly Underwing (first of year), 1 Dark Sword-grass and 4 Small Mottled Willow.

Another Bordered Straw, 2x very worn Silver Ys. Also a Nephopterix angustella which is new for the site and quite possibly a local migrant as it is not known from the middle of the county.

On the 27th, a Hummingbird Hawk at valerian in the garden in the early evening, and another or the same on the morning of the 28th. 3 Silver Y at dusk flowers but none in the overnight MV.

Hummingbird Hawkmoth nectaring at Everlasting Pea, 2 Silver-Y,Painted Lady +Red Admiral. Also of note 100+ Marbled White + 2 Dark Green Fritillary.
