Our first Meadow Brown this morning, Ghost Moth overnight and several Silver-y and Painted Ladies still about.

Night of 10th. 2 Rush Veneer,
3 Bordered Straw and a Striped Hawk Moth.

Last night to MV and Actinic 3 Bordered straw, 3 Small Mottled-willow,5 Rush Veneer and a Dark Sword-grass.

This Shining Marbled flushed out of the undergrowth today whilst I was searching for Coleophora cases in 20-30mph winds on the South Downs at Saltdean. A first for VC14, and quite a surprise. Only other migrant braving the winds was a single Silver-y.

Mid-day 9 June, Hummingbird Hawk-moth at Lound Plant Centre, visiting various perennial flowers while I was #@*%!ing Red Valerian to further increase my chance of the species at home.
