A Painted Lady by the Ouse Washes at Sutton Gault was the first of my season, no doubt brought up by the humid southerly air. Back at home, a Red Admiral had arrived in the garden.

Best migrant night since 2006 here in my garden. 5 Small mottled Willows, 3 Bordered Straws, Pearly Underwing and a Silver Y were in the trap. A Red Admiral is flying around the garden.

By day on 04th June
Clouded Yellow (1), Painted Lady (7), Red Admiral (1), Silver Y (2) & Bordered Straw (1). Also on returning home Rush Veneer (1) found in my garden at Gwinear, nr Hayle ................... definitely putting the moth trap out tonight!!!!!!
