30th Dec 2014:CORRECTION:the Red Admiral was of course caught in flight and eaten by a Pied Wagtail not a Pied Flycatcher!

A sad end for the Red Admiral. Europes breeding Pied Flycatchers should be wintering in West Africa now. Did you mean Pied Wagtail ? |

Went out in SW gale, damp and cloudy to rebuild a Cornish stone bank, when I got there on the sheltered side, a Red Admiral flew off into the distance. |
