A Rusty-dot Pearl and 2 Silver Ys were the only immigrants but unusually for October there was a Shoulder striped Wainscot and a Flame Shoulder amongst 25+ species in the back garden trap.

Last night had 1 Dark Sword-grass in garden trap

Night of 23 October: (accompanied by B. Dykes & S. Whitehouse): 2 Red Admiral, 2 Diamond-back Moth, 1 Rush Veneer, 65 Rusty-dot Pearl, 1 Uresiphita gilvata, 4 Palpita vitrealis, 1 Pearly Underwing, 1 Dark Sword-grass, 1 Turnip, 2 Delicate and 3 Silver Y. Also 1 Cypress Carpet and 25 Oak Rustic.
In nearby Swanage a Scarce Bordered Straw was trapped by P. England. |
