European Swallowtail (Papilio Machaon 'Gorganus) seen & photographed at Paignton, South Devon at 13:23 hrs Tuesday 12th August, 2014. Found by my 10 year old son, Robert Slaughter and eventually photographed by myself.

Rusty-dot Pearl disturbed from heather.

Night of 15 August: 96 species recorded including 129 Diamond-back Moth, 7 Rusty-dot Pearl, 2 Rush Veneer, 1 Latticed Heath, 3 Silver Y and 2 Dark Sword-grass.

One Humming-bird Hawk-moth feeding on Buddleja at West Cornwall Hospital today at 1315

2 Silver Y seen at dusk on 14th August. 7 Red Admiral on garden buddleia's today, 15th August. (Painted Lady not seen since 20th July).

15th August: single Humming-bird Hawk-moth & Clouded Yellow, along with many Red Admiral in my garden this afternoon.
