The Lucerne patch that attracted a Swallowtail on 24th July has also been good for Clouded Yellows peaking at 16 on 4th August. Only 2 today but with them a probable 'helice' form.

yesterday (7/8) female Oak Processionary flying by day MINUS its abdomen (I presume a casualty from bird predation). Most probably a wanderer from established populations in W London.
