An Evergestis limbata here last night - a migrant still this far west

Single Rusty Dot Pearl in this Scottish trap this morning.
Generally many HummingbirdHMs in East Lothian, but not heard of any this far inland in West Lothian.

Bedstraw Hawk-moth this am. Moth traps are producing vastly more moths than June last year due to the weather. Migrant moths are, however, in very short supply.

I spotted a fresh Hummingbird Hawk-moth, Macroglossum stellatarum, flying around suburban gardens in Horsham at about 7am this morning.

Langport (VC6): Painted Lady basking on hedge and Red Admiral nectaring on Lime blossom Sunday (22nd) evening around 7pm.

Curry Rivel (VC5): 2 Hummingbird Hawkmoths nectaring on Catmint in a friend's garden

23rd June: Humming-bird Hawk-moth (10), Painted Lady (1) & Red Admiral (15) all seen by day on the cliff path between Penberth Cove & Gwennap Head, West Cornwall.

One Humming-bird Hawk-moth seen on red valerian while walking around Penzance today. Yesterday just the one Red Admiral on red valerian during a walk around Penzance.
