Hi Dave.re your comment about the Flame Shoulder. Although it wasn't dissected I did check it for Radfords which I was hoping it was but it was a small, short moth with quite red/brown hairs at the front of the abdomen and the streak stopped at the kidney mark. In hindsight I wish I'd kept it as both you and MT have asked about it but I wish it had been Radfords, but it just didn't look right for one. It was also quite worn as would be expected. Roger

12/11: Vagrant Emperor, female-type, watched for several minutes hawking in bright sunshine near sports centre at edge of the harbour
|

Also 1 clouded yellow,2 Red Admirals and loads of Cosmopterix pulchrimella flying around Pellitory-of-the-wall on the 8th in sunshine

19 species inc 7 P.vitrealis,110 RDP's at 8pm outside the trap & 71 inside in the morning.1 each of Red-line Quaker, Flame Shoulder,LYU,P.xylostella,V-Pug,A.hexadactyla,Tawny Pinion, Pearly Underwing. 2Dark Sword-grass,2Feathered Ranunculus

And even a bit further north there were some migrants - at Fenns Moss, Clwyd VC50 in N Wales on night of 11th Nov;
