23 species last night in the Highworth moth traps, despite the temperature falling to 6c.

My best migrant haul of the year - in November!

Night of the 1st. 3 Diamond back 2 Silver Y and 1 Dark swordgrass.

Night of 31/10: Scarce Bordered Straw, Dark Sword-grass, RDP, 3 Silver Y, 2 Turnip.

Night of 31 October: 1 Gem, 1 Vestal, 4 Delicate, 1 Clancy's Rustic

Since the first record on the islands approx five years ago I have seen 2/3 per year here.The first record in 2013 was 1/10 followed by a couple more singles.On 6/10 at 15.00 at least 15 were released from our bedroom/bathroom with 25+ the next day.The rest of the month saw low numbers.They fly strongly !
As this occured during moth migration are these likely to be migrants or a emergance ?
