1 x Long-tailed Blue (male) seen and photographed at 1:30pm on Sunday 29th September on a partially sunny but windy day on the clifftop at Kingsdown Leas, near Deal, Kent! This was an emergent butterfly from the earlier influx in early August that have bred on Everlasting Pea plants growing here. Also witnessed by Lisa Slaughter, Robert Slaughter (aged 10) and Michael Slaughter (aged 8) and a very helpful Allan Ward from Ashford, Kent. A very long and tiring weekend involving a lot of driving from & back to Cornwall but extremely satisfactory!!
