A Gem, a Vestal and a Dark Sword Grass and I haven't opened my trap yet. It must be Christmas!

Night of 21 Sept: 1 Purple Marbled.

I recorded a Gypsy Moth last night (photo attached), probaly a first for Wales and certainly the most western and northern record of all records since 2000. I wonder if anyone has noticed any activity with this species recently?

Last night 21st Sep at Durlston Country Park with 6 traps I trapped the following migrants;
4 Diamond-back, 2 Rusty-dot Pearl, 56 Rush Veneer, 19 Dark Swordgrass, 3 Pearly Underwing, 20 Silver Y

I know it is spreading well, but still surprised to see Cypress pug, night of 21st Sept in London.

20th Sept:Clouded Yellow 6,Small White 214(probably mostly immigrants from the continent),Silver Y 2(daytime),Rush Veneer 10(daytime),on a day's walk along & near the coast in weak sunshine & a very light breeze.

Friday 20th 4 Rush veneer 2 Silver y with singletons of Diamond back Delicate European corn borer and L-album wainscot.
