Morning of 30 August : One Humming-bird Hawk-moth nectaring on Scabious in Trench Wood (Worcestershire). Also Silver Y at least a dozen.

Night of the 28th 1 Convolvulus hawkmoth well worn but my first for a couple of years, also 3 Silver Y.

On my journey to London yesterday afternoon to watch the Tottenham V Dinamo Tblisi match I broke my jourmey in the Chilterns at Fingest(Stokenchurch M40 Junction) . Saw Humming-bird Hawk-moth nectaring on Marjoram flowers in an open downland site.
