Morning of 30 August : One Humming-bird Hawk-moth nectaring on Scabious in Trench Wood (Worcestershire). Also Silver Y at least a dozen.

Night of the 28th 1 Convolvulus hawkmoth well worn but my first for a couple of years, also 3 Silver Y.

On my journey to London yesterday afternoon to watch the Tottenham V Dinamo Tblisi match I broke my jourmey in the Chilterns at Fingest(Stokenchurch M40 Junction) . Saw Humming-bird Hawk-moth nectaring on Marjoram flowers in an open downland site.

A first for me, a Portland Moth also 12 Silver Y's, 1 Diamond Back and 3 Dark Sword-grass

Night of 29 August:

67 Diamond-back Moth, 1 Ethmia bipunctella, 1 Crocidosema plebejana, 2 Rusty-dot Pearl, 1 Palpita vitrealis, 2 Dark Sword-grass, 7 Tree-lichen Beauty and 76 Silver Y.

Also an Ant-lion and wanderers including Antler; Twin-spotted Wainscot, Brown-veined Wainscot, Webb's Wainscot and two Gold Spot.

2 Clouded yellow, Painted lady and 3 Red admiral seen today at Ipswich Golf Course.
