Night of 23 August, 1 Dark Sword-grass, 8 Silver Y, 6 Diamond-back. Also daytime singles of Red Admiral at home and at Ashby.

A single Rusty-dot Pearl the only immigrant in the back garden MV this morning.

1 Dusky Hook-tip and 1 Gem.

1 female Clouded yellow seen this afternoon at Ipswich Golf Course (Purdis heath). Also 1 Red admiral.

Night of 22/08/13 - 50+ Webb's Wainscot to 3 lamps amongst sedge-beds, more than my total combined Common and Smoky Wainscot records for the year in one night! Other species of note were Small Rufous and 2 examples of Orthotelia sparganella.

One Tree-lichen Beauty caught last night in garden.

Night of 21st August:

1 Ethmia quadrillella attracted to dual 30w actinic in the garden (1st record for Surrey). Probably a wanderer/migrant considering scarcity and distance from its UK strongholds.

1 clouded yellow on the 22/08/2013 in flower rich field at Ufton Fields in Warwickshire at SP 38381 61715 (SP 383 617).
